The Continuum Mix Show #003 featuring Bowsar

This time's guest has been blowing up over the last years, Bowsar aka El Hajin. Around 2004 he got a hold of his first Drum & Bass Tracks and immediately started making tunes. It didn’t take him very long to finish his first tracks around 2004. With his first vinyl coming out soon (together with Mefjus and Kaiza) and numerous releases on big labels like Mindtech, Trust in Music and Ammunition Recordings he has alread contributed his share of fresh DnB material to the scene. Since 2006 he also produces Dubstep under the alias of ‘El Haijn’. Although he is most notably a Drum & Bass DJ, his musical roots lie in Hip-Hop, Downbeat, Breakbeat, experimental electronic music and Jazz. He has alot planned for 2013 and it's definately gonna be huge! I hope you find as much joy in his guestmix as i do and keep track of Bowsar through the links below!

As a second special this time i have teamed up for a b2b mix with DJ Powell. He's a very

talented DJ with a lot of fresh ideas and is also gonna be rocking the viennese Dnb clubs soon enough!

We had alot of trial and error with this mix but it came out very great and we still had much fun recording it. We hope you enjoy it too!

The Continuum Mix Show #002 featuring Emphasis

So…it’s been a while since the first Continuum Mix Show, but the show must go on as always. This time’s guests are two guys from Vienna called EMPHASIS. They have recently brought up a lot of new tunes and have been evolving a lot since they were founded in 2010. Their different techniques show a lot of potential for all their forthcoming music. You can't really pin down their genre because they are always up to something new in a different style or format. They pratically grew up with the equipment that they're using right now and so it was bound to happen that something would emerge out of that rare chance.

This is their first official mix and it shows that those guys are definitely passionate when it comes to Drum & Bass. Their Soundcloud account is full of their work and I strongly recommend you to listen to some of their music in the links below! The Continuum Mix Show #001 featuring Audio Device

Well 2012 has just kicked off and there's already so much new talent in austria!
It deserves exposure and thats where the Continuum Mix Series steps in! Trying to bring forth a few of austrias truely outstanding artists, the Continuum Series is attempting to showcase DJ's and Producers who deserve the spotlight! PHLAGE and his guests bring you some of the finest Drum and Bass from austria and the rest of the world.

The first guest this year is AUDIO DEVICE, one of viennas Drum & Bass veterans. His passion for DnB came up in the late nineties and led him to become a very passionate DJ. Over the years he has acquired residency at famous austrian events like Beat It, Second Sight, Sidesteps, All Souled Out, and made himself a name through self hosted parties like Jungle Fever which started in '98 together with the famous Trife Life crew (first proper DnB event in Vienna); the widely known Synergetic Parties and since the year 2000 the annual DnB-Gathering, Vienna Drum and Bass.

In 2006 he built up a homestudio, graduated a sound engineering school in 2007 and has been working on beats and tunes since then. Recently he had his first, long overdue realease of "Airdo lost in space" and the remix of Waldeck's "Make my day" on Vibration Records.

His main style is some rarely heard shuffle/swing DNB and he's highly convinced that its going to have a huge future, which is well demonstrated by his guestmix.
He is definately someone to watch out for in the near future, so keep your eyes and ears open and enjoy his guestmix on the Continuum Show.
